Family Office Leadership & Corporate Strategy
Geoffrey Laurence is the founder and principal of an Auckland-based family investment office, a tenure he has maintained since 1993. Prior to establishing his own firm, Geoffrey honed his financial and strategic acumen as the Finance Director of the property arm of Lion Nathan. His career is defined by extensive leadership commercial experience, transitioning from high-level corporate finance to the strategic direction of private assets.
Corporate Governance Expertise
Geoffrey possesses deep governance experience as an investor, director, and trustee within private organisations and the not-for-profit charitable sectors across New Zealand and Australia. He is a New Zealand member of the Australian Institute of Corporate Directors and recently retired from the NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants after a distinguished 40-year membership. Notably, Geoffrey is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, an honour received for his services as a board member of that organisation.

With degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business from Massey University, Geoffrey brings a rigorous analytical approach to capital allocation. His experience and skills encompass detailed company research and analysis, with specific ownership and direction in New Zealand commercial property and private tourism businesses. Additionally, his investment scope extends globally, managing interests in publicly listed companies in international markets.
